Who are you really, wanderer?

They miss the whisper that runs
Any day in your mind,
“Who are you really, wanderer?”- –
And the answer you have to give
No matter how dark and cold
The world around you is:
“Maybe I’m the king.”

-William Stafford, A Story That Could Be True

If I am a king, may it be so that I am the king of those 12 inches between my mind and my heart.

I am a father, a husband, a Los Angelino transplant with deepening roots in New York City. I grew up in Culver City, California, the son of two loving parents. As a teenager I had the significant fortune to come across a number of youth mentors who gave to me much of the roadmap by which I have traced more than 20 years of my life weaving the threads of spirituality and social justice.

Along the way I earned degrees in Community Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz and later a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. I also am grateful to have collected some Certifications; in Consciousness Studies from the Rudolf Steiner College, in Philanthropy from New York University, and in Behavioral Economics from the Harvard Kennedy School. I’m now beginning a program in Ancestral Medicine with North Carolina’s Dr. Daniel Foor.

I’ve had the great honor to teach, advise and work with a collection of people and organizations I would have once never dreamt possible. Perhaps you will be one of them.
